Mecca is a City in Saudi Arabia where Muslims go to carry out Hajj. It is compulsory for a Muslim to carry out Hajj at some point in their life.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji went to Mecca in their 4th Udhasi (journey). Guru Ji wore blue clothes and went at the time of Hajj, so there were many Muslims there.
At night, Guru Ji laid down and pointed their feet towards the Kaaba (Note: the Kaaba is the black building Muslims walk around during Hajj)
A Muslim Priest, called Jivan, approached Guru Ji and started shouting at him because Guru Ji’s feet were pointing towards the Kaaba.
The Muslim Priest shouted towards everyone "Why is this sinner sleeping with his feet towards Allah?".
The Muslim Priest then grabbed Guru Ji's legs and started moving Guru Ji's feet. The Muslim Priest and the other Muslims looked at Guru Ji with shock as wherever he moved Guru Ji's feet, the Kaaba moved too.
All the Muslims, including the Muslim Priest, bowed to Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The Muslim Priest asked for forgiveness.
After this, the Muslims asked Guru Ji whether Allah likes Hindus more or Muslims more. Guru Ji replied "Without good actions, both will suffer in the end. Only by being a Hindu or a Muslim, one is not accepted into Sach Khand".
Morals of Story:
Vaheguru is everywhere.
You perform the best actions when you follow the teachings of the Guru.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji would travel to many villages during his journeys to preach about Sikhi. One day, Guru Ji met some villagers who told Guru Ji about a cannibal called Kauda who lived in the woods.
All the villagers were afraid of Kauda as he would cook people alive and eat them.
Guru Ji, with Bhai Bala Ji and Bhai Mardana Ji, decided to go to the woods to meet Kauda.
When Kauda saw Guru Ji coming, he filled a cauldron with oil and lit fire under the cauldron to heat the oil.
After a few minutes, Kauda checked the oil but it was still cold so he thought of a different idea.
When Guru Nanak Dev Ji got close, Kauda grabbed Guru Ji. Guru Ji said ‘Sat Kartar’.
Kauda got angry as Guru Ji showed no fear so he chucked Guru Ji into the fire to burn them alive.
Guru Ji stood up in the fire and smiled and said ‘Sat Kartar’. Guru Ji began reading Gurbani.
Kauda was shocked and couldn't move.
Kauda fell to his feet and bowed to Guru Ji.
Guru Ji told Kauda to stop killing men and start doing Paat. Kauda followed Guru Ji's teachings and started doing Paat.
Kauda went from Rakssh (Demon) to Gursikh.
Morals of Story:
No one should have to live in fear of another person.
Always stand up against those that hurt innocent people.
Guru Ji can make anyone good.
No one can hurt Guru Ji.
Gurbani is very powerful.

When Guru Ji was 18, Guru Ji's father, Mehta Kalu Ji, gave him 20 rupees to start a profitable business. 20 rupees was worth a lot more in those days.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Bhai Bala Ji went out of town to look for things to sell in the business.
On the way, they saw Sadhus who were doing paat. The Sadhus had worn out clothing and did not have much to eat.
Guru Ji said to Bhai Bala Ji "There is no bigger profit than giving food and clothes to these Sadhus".
Guru Ji and Bhai Bala Ji bought clothes and food for the Sadhus and returned home.
When Mehta Kalu Ji found out what Guru Nanak Dev Ji had done, he slapped him.
Bebe Nanaki Ji, Guru Ji's sister, stopped Mehta Kalu Ji from slapping Guru Ji as she knew that Guru Ji was not an ordinary human.
Guru Ji said to Mehta Kalu Ji "Pita Ji, You told me to make a profit and there is no bigger profit than this".
Note: The first Gursikh (disciple of the Guru) to step foot on this earth was Bebe Nanaki Ji. She was the first person to surrender to the Guru as she saw the light of Guru Sahib inside Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Question: Why did Mehta Kalu Ji slap Guru Nanak Dev Ji if he was the Guru? (answer is in morals)
Morals of Story:
We should try to help people as much as we can.
Guru Ji doesn't care about wealth, he only cares about love.
The best place to share your things is within the Sadh Sangat (Holy Company).
Guru Ji can see the light in everyone, but not everyone can see the light in Guru Ji.
