Guru Ji was staying at a village for a day so that the people living there could have his darshan. In that village, a Pandit named Lal Chand did not see Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji as a Guru so decided to test Guru Ji.
Lal Chand said to Guru Ji “You are sitting on the throne of Guru Nanak, you have the giaan (Knowledge) of Guru Ram Das Ji so you should be able to do katha (talk) on Bhagvad Gita”.
Guru Ji laughed and said “Lal Chand, bring me anyone you want and I will get them to explain Bhagvad Gita to you”. Lal Chand brought an uneducated man called Chhajju Ram and asked Guru Ji to make him do a full talk on Bhagvad Gita.
Guru Ji touched Chhajju Ram on the head and asked him to begin the katha. Chhajju Ram began doing a beautiful talk on the Hindu Scripture. Lal Chand was shocked and fell at Guru Ji’s feet.
Lal Chand became a Gursikh and also took Amrit to become Lal Singh. He went from a Pandit to a Saint Soldier as he fought with Guru Gobind Singh Ji and was shaheed in the battle of Chamkaur in 1705.
Moral of Story:
The Guru can make the poor person rich and the rich person poor. The Guru can give or take anything from anyone.

Guru Ji was staying at Raja Jai Singh’s place. The Raja (King) and Rani (Queen) doubted Guru Ji due to his age so they decided to test him.
Guru Ji had not met the Queen yet. The Queen disguised herself as a servant and went with the other servants to the Guru. The servants together asked Guru Ji “Shall we go to the Queen’s room so you can meet her and talk to her?”.
Guru Ji is Antarjami (All Knowing) and said “I don’t think we need to go to the Queen’s room because she can hear me very well right now”.
The servants asked the same question again. Guru Ji got up and went to the Queen, who was disguised as a servant, and said “Truth is more powerful than tricks”.
Moral of Story:
Never try testing the Guru. The Guru knows everything and cannot be tricked.
Live your life with Truth. The Truth will allow you to merge with Vaheguru. The Truth is inside Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

At the age of 7, Guru Ji would cure thousands of people from smallpox and cholera no matter what their religion or caste.
The Muslims were so amazed by the power of the Guru that they began calling Guru Ji ‘Bala Pir’ (Child Prophet).
After treating so many people, Guru Ji got smallpox himself and became ill. Guru Ji’s mother in tears asked “You are the Guru so why have you caught the disease?”. Guru Ji replied “Happiness and suffering is part of life. This is part of Vaheguru’s Hukam (command) so I must obey”.
Guru Ji left their physical body at the age of 7.
Moral of Story:
Guru can take away all suffering and can cure any disease.
Everything is within Hukam, nothing is outside of Hukam
