Bhikan Shah was a well-known Muslim saint and was respected by everyone. One day, Bhikan Shah started bowing in the opposite direction of Mecca.
His followers asked him what he was doing. Bhikan Shah told them “If you could see what kind of being has taken birth there, you would bow too".
Bhikan Shah decided to go to Patna to meet the baby of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. When Bhikan Shah got to Patna he asked to see the baby but Mata Gujjar Kaur Ji refused. After a few days, Bhikan Shah was finally allowed to see the baby.
When Bhikan Shah saw Gobind Rai, he placed 2 pots in front of Gobind Rai. Gobind Rai reached out to grab both of the pots at the same time. Bhikan Shah smiled and left.
When people asked Bhikan Shah about why he placed 2 pots there he replied “1 pot represented the Muslim faith, the other represented the Hindu faith. I was asking him which he would favour. He chose both so he favours all religions".
Moral of Story:
Guru Ji does not judge you by what religion you are, he judges you by your actions.
You will achieve the best actions by following the teachings of the Guru.

One day, Guru Gobind Rai told his Sikhs “Everyone must make langar in their own homes and no one should leave their home without being served!”.
All of Guru Ji’s Sikhs listened to him and they became famous for serving and taking care of others.
Guru Ji wanted to test his Sikhs. So, one day, he woke up really early and put on a disguise. Guru Ji dressed just like a common traveler and put on a large bag.
Then, Guru Ji went to his Sikh followers’ homes to see if they would serve him at this time of day.
When Guru Ji knocked on the first house, he said “Sorry to disturb you, do you have any Roti that I can eat?”.
The Sikh replied “It is too early in the morning and it’s going to take too long to make daal". Guru Ji went from door to door but no one was willing to serve him.
Then, Guru Ji arrived at Bhai Nand Lal Ji’s house. When Guru Ji knocked, Bhai Nand Lal Ji opened the door and said “Welcome friend, come in and please sit down”.
Bhai Nand Lal Ji started cooking food for the traveler straight away. He served Guru Ji with langar and treated him with a lot of love.
The next morning, Guru Ji told everyone, “There is only one true langar and that is at Bhai Nand Lal Ji’s house".
Moral of Story:
You should follow Guru Ji’s Hukam (command) all the time.
Langar is for everyone.
Try to help people as much as you can, even if you don't know them.

Guru Ji asked Bhai Kanhaiya Ji why he was giving water to the enemy. Bhai Kanhaiya Ji replied, “When I look into the faces of all these men, all I see is you and so I have to serve them.”
Guru Ji smiled at Bhai Kanhaiya Ji and told the Sangat “Bhai Kanhaiya has understood the teachings of the Guru correctly.” Then Guru Ji said to Bhai Kanhaiya Ji “From now on you will bandage the wounds of the men.”
